How Our Story Began

A little back story

In 2006 A dear friend of ours Dena Tobleman, hosted a birthday party for her son. In 2007 she was ill with cancer so Jim Denson stepped up and built it that year . Sadly in 2008 we lost Dena and Jim wanted to keep it going in her memory and moved it to VFTFA. In 2010 Jim and Brian partnered together and did a fundraiser for VFTFA. The following year, 2011 they named it Maze Of Terror and started donating to Vidor Project Graduation and Boy Scouts of America. Texas Maze of Terror found  its resting spot at 1745 Hwy 12 since 2013. Brian and Ettie Thompson are the owners. There have been countless volunteers through the years, It would be hard to list everyone. We have had volunteers help build, decorate and of course scare. In 2021 TMOT closed to relocate but that deal fell through, we have torn down and rebuilt on the same property.  Parking is an issue, we outgrew our parking and the plan is to go further back.   We have worked extremely hard the last three years to get TMOT back open.  Oct 4th 2025 is our opening date and we could not have done it without Pumpkin, Branden, Brad  and all of our scarers.  It's been 4 long years since we have been open but we are back . The Swamp billies are gone and the new theme is DARk HAVEN. So come enjoy your time and meet all of our old Crazies and our new ones.
